Google Ads

How service businesses get the call this week.

We help service businesses show up for the searches people make when something has already gone wrong. Live within days, with the wrong searches blocked and every lead traced to its keyword.

Right now the call is going to somebody else

Somebody two streets away types the thing you do, picks one of the first three results and books. If you are not in that handful you never find out it happened. There is no notification for the job you did not get.

Every week off the page is work you will never see
The searches happen whether you are there or not. The only question is which of your competitors is collecting them, and right now the answer is whoever started first.
Half a badly built budget goes to people who were never customers
People looking for work rather than a worker, people after a how-to video, people three towns outside your radius. Every one of those clicks costs exactly what a real customer costs.
Untracked leads get the wrong keyword switched off
Some of this work is booked on the phone and some through a form, and plenty of accounts only ever measure one. With the other half invisible, the term quietly producing your jobs looks identical to the one producing nothing.

What owners tell us, and what we do about it

Five things we hear on almost every first call, and the part of the build that answers each.

I need work this week, not in six months.
Ads can be live within a day of the account being ready, and calls can start the same week. Nothing else you can buy moves that fast.
I am paying for clicks from people looking for a job.
The negative keyword list blocks hiring, salary and apprenticeship searches, plus how-to videos and towns you do not cover. That list is where most of the savings in any account actually sit.
My leads come in all over the place and nobody counts them.
Calls, form submits and the taps straight off your ad all get tracked before anything runs, so every one of them traces back to the keyword behind it. Without that you switch off the term that was working and keep the one that was not.
I show up for the wrong towns.
Targeting goes down to a radius or specific zip codes. If you will drive forty minutes but not ninety, that is where it stops, and you stop paying for calls you would turn down anyway.
I do not want to learn Google Ads.
You will not have to open it. One call at the start, then plain language reporting on what changed and why. You keep full access the whole time, you just never need to use it.

How it works

One call from you. Two of the four stages happen before a dollar is spent.

  1. A service business owner taking a phone call beside his van, clipboard in hand.

    One call, about twenty minutes

What you sell, the radius you will actually drive, and what a booked job is worth. That last figure sets the most a call can cost before the account stops making sense.

  2. A hand holding a phone with the Google search page open.

We build the keyword list and the negative list

The keywords are what somebody types when the problem is happening right now. The negative list is the one that saves you money, and most underperforming accounts simply do not have one.

  3. A laptop open on a list of enquiries with a phone in hand beside it.

We track every lead, not just the calls

Leads arrive three ways: a tap-to-call straight off the ad, a form on the page they land on, and the people who ring the number on your Business Profile. Track one and you will switch off the keyword that was quietly producing the other two. All three get wired up before anything runs.

  4. A laptop on a desk showing a campaign performance dashboard.

We cut the keywords that do not pay

A term pulling twenty clicks and no calls comes out. A search nobody predicted goes on the negative list. This is most of the job after launch, and it is why a good account gets cheaper per job over time.

What you get every month

Your whole budget goes to Google. Our fee sits outside it, so you are never paying us out of your click spend.

  • Keyword research on the phrases people type when they need you now
  • The negative list that keeps job hunters and browsers out of the budget
  • Geographic targeting down to a radius or specific zip codes
  • Lead tracking on calls and form submits, so you see which search produced which
  • Local Services Ads setup where your trade is eligible
  • Google Business Profile checked, since the map listing sits beside your ad
  • Instant text follow-up and online booking for leads that arrive as forms
  • Ongoing pruning, with keywords that do not book work switched off

Industries we serve

Pages built on the searches each of these trades actually gets. If yours is not here, everything above still applies.

Not on the list? Tell us what you do and we will tell you whether the numbers work in your market.

Before you ask

Selling a product online instead? That page is here.

  • Google reaches somebody who already has the problem and is typing it in, so the intent is as high as it gets and the job can be booked the same day. The limit is that you can only reach as many people as are searching, and in a small service area that number is finite. Meta reaches people before they search, with visuals, which builds the name recognition that makes the eventual search go your way. For urgent work people search for, Google is normally where to start. For work people put off, or work that photographs well, Meta earns its place. Most businesses that keep growing run both, and the two feed each other rather than competing.

  • They are the listings that sit above the normal search ads with a Google Guaranteed badge, and they are pay per lead rather than pay per click. You get screened and background checked by Google first, which is a real barrier to entry and also the reason the badge carries weight. Where your trade is eligible they are often the best value in Google, because you pay for a contact rather than a click. Not every trade or area has them, so we check before promising anything.

  • Local Services Ads charge you per lead, sit at the very top, and carry the Google Guaranteed badge, but you control much less about the targeting and the messaging. Regular search ads charge per click, sit below, and give you full control of keywords, copy and the page people land on. They are not an either-or. Where both are available the usual answer is to run Local Services for the high intent searches and regular search ads for everything the format cannot cover.

  • It matters more than most people expect, and it is free. The map results often sit above or alongside your ad for exactly the same search, so a thin profile with no photos and three reviews loses work to a complete one even while your ad is running. We check it as part of the setup, because spending on ads while the free listing underneath is neglected is paying twice for the same visitor.

  • That is most of the job. We block the searches you do not want, keep the ads inside the area you serve, and trace calls back to the keyword behind them. If a term pulls clicks and no calls it gets cut. Without that ongoing pruning every account drifts toward paying for traffic that was never going to buy.

  • It varies enormously by trade and by area, so a number quoted before looking at your market would be invented. What we can do is check the real cost per click where you work, against what a job is worth to you, and tell you whether it closes. In some markets it does not, and we would rather say so than take the work and have you find out in month three.

  • The leads are yours and come straight to you. The ad account is whichever is easier for you: we will set one up and give you full access from day one, or we will work inside the one you already have. The work is month to month and your ad budget goes to Google directly, with our fee kept separate from it.
